Special Feature: Spotlight on New Team Members

Get to Know Max L. and Kevin F.
At Brubacher, we believe the right people make the work stronger, and each new team member brings something meaningful—fresh insight, steady skill, and a readiness to support our goal of always doing things the right way. As we look toward the new year ahead, we’re pleased to introduce two leaders who have recently stepped into important roles and are already contributing to the culture and collaboration that define our work: Max L., Controller, and Kevin F., Paving Department Manager.
Though their paths to Brubacher were different, both joined the company for similar reasons: our reputation for integrity, teamwork, and the steady culture driven by a commitment to living our values of safety, integrity, teamwork, and initiative. Together, Max and Kevin bring strong leadership, thoughtful insight, and a people-first approach that reflects the Brubacher way.
Controller Max L.: An Intentional Return to Teamwork and Connection
Max joined Brubacher in June 2025 after several years in consulting, where he was trusted by dozens of clients but often moved too quickly to build the deeper connections he values. He found himself wanting something different—an environment where relationships matter, collaboration is steady, and leadership goes beyond delivering a report.
When he first heard about Brubacher’s Controller opening, he asked around. The response was the same everywhere he turned: solid leadership, strong values, and a team-oriented culture. That consistency made an impression.
“People truly lived out the things they described,” he said, noting that Brubacher’s Uncommonly Refreshing mindset resonated with the kind of workplace he was seeking.
Those early impressions have only grown stronger. Max stepped into a season of intense activity with acquisitions, internal transitions, and shifting responsibilities across the department. Instead of slowing him down, it clarified the importance of service, communication, and thoughtful leadership. His years of supporting multi-entity organizations and guiding clients through change have helped him bring steadiness and clarity to the work, especially during periods of transition. He’s focused on helping his team feel supported, building clarity into each role, and ensuring they have the structure and space they need to do excellent work.
He’s also quick to acknowledge the support he received from his predecessor, Alisha B., whose guidance has helped him navigate systems, expectations, and the fast pace of a growing organization. That continuity has played a meaningful role in assisting the Finance team to stay grounded through change.
Paving Manager Kevin F.: A Leader Who’s Known Brubacher From the Jobsite
Kevin’s connection to Brubacher started long before his first day. In a previous role, he frequently worked on projects where Brubacher served as the paving contractor or subcontractor. Over time, he developed respect for the professionalism, planning, and quality he saw on every jobsite, from the way crews communicated to how they carried out the work.
When the Paving Department Manager position surfaced, he saw an opportunity worth exploring. Conversations with the team quickly reinforced what he already suspected. “Everyone described the same culture and the same expectations,” he said. “Safety, teamwork, humility, accountability, and a willingness to listen.”
Kevin joined the company in early October 2025 with a strong background in field operations and project management. He understands the pace and complexity of asphalt paving work—coordinating estimating, dispatch, milling, equipment readiness, materials, and production crews—and he’s familiar with what clients across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and the surrounding region expect from a paving company they trust. That experience gives him a practical understanding of how paving operations succeed day to day and helps him support crews with the structure, planning, and communication they need to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
While the technical side of paving excites him, Kevin is most energized by developing people. He takes pride in helping team members grow, strengthening communication, and building a culture of excellence that reflects Brubacher’s commitment to quality and care.
Investing in People, Strengthening the Work
Max and Kevin have both stepped into roles that influence how teams collaborate, communicate, and deliver high-quality results across the company. Each brings a leadership style grounded in listening, steady guidance, and a focus on supporting others.
Max is shaping a Finance team that serves Brubacher and the company’s related business entities with accuracy, insight, and integrity, reinforcing decision-making and helping the organization stay aligned as it grows. Kevin is strengthening consistency and communication within the paving operation, building a team culture that reflects the expectations clients have of a complete site development partner known for doing things the right way.
Both leaders chose Brubacher because they recognized the type of environment they wanted to be part of—one where people look out for each other, take ownership of their work, and show up with purpose. Their early contributions are already helping Brubacher move forward while staying firmly rooted in the values that guide us.
Please join us in welcoming Max and Kevin as they continue to settle into their roles and strengthen our teams through their leadership, collaboration, and care for people!
