Creative Preparation and Efficient Execution Delivers Bottom Line Cost Savings
Despite a variety of challenging terrain, our team overcame schedule complexities and presented creative solutions to successfully install over 18,000 feet of 12” natural gas main in Fogelsville, PA. By taking the initiative to plan ahead, think creatively, work efficiently, and communicate with all parties involved, we were able to meet critical schedule milestones and deliver bottom line value for this major utilities infrastructure project.
The opportunity to apply value engineering began early in the project planning phase. Through recommendations focused on maximizing the project cadence and schedule, we were able to identify $500,000 in cost savings for the client. This application of decades of experience to add value, minimize risk and increase efficiencies continued as the project progressed through complex landscapes. Our team provided Insight. On Site., as work crossed through an existing industrial park, in residential neighborhoods, along agricultural fields, across several waterways, and under a major highway. The jack and bores under the roads and waterways required thorough planning and coordination with regulatory authorities. There were also several deep excavations that required specialty shoring and equipment to ensure the safety of all crew members on site.
Our dedicated and experienced in-house team, combined with a trusted network of subcontractor partners, delivered seamless service through a single point of project responsibility. We remained focused on creating efficiencies, streamlining communication, and providing peace of mind. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the UGI team as they continue to advance projects in the communities they serve. Since our partnership began in 2008, we have installed over 100,000 feet of natural gas main and methane pipelines on their behalf, continually focused on delivering exceptional value and service across every mile.
