Successful Execution of E&S Controls and Sitework Meets Energy Needs

Upgrading high voltage power transmission lines for a local power company required careful planning, creative strategizing, constant communication, and precision to ensure safety and provide high-quality results that would meet the energy needs for our client and the community. Despite unfavorable weather, electric lines running across residential properties, and many obstacles from existing site conditions, our team leaned on decades of experience and collaborated with landowners, the power company, and the project’s civil engineer to establish a successful approach to move access drives and work around complexities not represented on the civil plan.

Communication with our client began early on in the project planning process, as we provided our client with design-build assist services and Insight. On Site. to deliver a risk management strategy that would avoid costly delays and minimize unwanted surprises. Once our crews were on site to begin construction services, they were committed to providing every property owner with peace of mind that the job would be completed cautiously and respectfully. At Brubacher, we understand that we’re often the uninvited guests in neighborhoods, and it’s our goal to provide an uncommonly refreshing experience for everyone, including homeowners.

To execute this project successfully, we determined a plan that would meet the energy construction needs at hand and performed services for erosion and sediment controls, earthwork, installation of stone base (for line workers to have access for removing and replacing poles and wiring), and restoration of the area upon completion. Site development services provided included construction surveying, land clearing and demolition, excavation and grading, utilities infrastructure, and paving and milling. We treat every jobsite as if it were our own and our team remained dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and professional experience for all involved throughout every phase. This project was completed on time and on budget to provide the power company with the high voltage electric line upgrades that were needed in this community.
