Tackling site preparation for Commerce Construction Co. L.P.’s 500,000 square-foot warehouse included managing significant soil obstacles to complete 450,000 cubic feet of earthmoving, modifications to an existing stormwater basin, and pad and parking construction. Previous site improvements made by Bethlehem Steel required creative problem solving, informed by tapping into decades of experience to deliver Insight. On Site.

We delivered a full range of integrated services to successfully complete the job, including design-build assist, value engineering, construction surveying, land clearing and demolition, excavation and grading, utilities infrastructure, asphalt paving and milling, and risk mitigation. Site challenges ranged from extremely wet conditions and unknown existing soils to a redesign of a large retaining wall. The thoughtful planning and preparation of our crews and trusted subcontractor partners, combined with their creative solutions (including soil cementing for the building pad), helped save our client significant time and money while keeping the project on schedule to meet all critical milestones.
