Value Engineering and Decades of Experience Contribute to Project Success
To meet Griffin Industrial Realty, Inc.’s goals for their 134,000 square-foot warehouse construction project in Allentown, PA, our team leaned on decades of experience and the ability to provide successful value engineering services. When invited into our clients’ projects early in the planning process, value engineering allows us to take a thoughtful and proactive approach to looking at every aspect of what the jobsite entails, including possible setbacks or unknowns that could be uncovered.
A key part of preparing this warehouse construction site was over-excavating to replace existing unsuitable soils. Additional complexity was added by a large retaining wall at the front of the project site and a planned wall at the back of the site that was set to require extensive grading and rock removal. As part of our promise to deliver thoughtful value engineering support, our team collaborated with project partners to develop a solution to eliminate the back wall, resulting in substantial cost savings for the client. Additional onsite support included risk management services and site development services, from sitework preparation for pad construction to preparing and paving the designated parking areas.
By applying Insight. On Site. early in construction planning, we were able to create bottom line savings for our partners at Griffin Industrial Realty, Inc. and ensure a safe, smooth site preparation process delivered on time and with built-in value from the ground up.
