Aqua PA Water Main
Minimizing Disruption & Maximizing Production
Leading many critical water main replacement projects, our team has had the opportunity to successfully work on miles and miles of waterline, thousands of services, hundreds of fire hydrants, countless square yards of paving restoration, and more. As part of our partnership with Aqua Pennsylvania, we have been invited into neighborhoods across Eastern Pennsylvania to support key infrastructure improvement projects.
While each of these utilities infrastructure projects across the Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware County areas had its own unique set of complexities, our approach to thoughtful pre-work planning was a constant. This included creating site-specific plans to navigate the thousands of underground water, gas, sewer, and telecommunication line crossings to help ensure a safe, successful outcome with minimized disruption to residents in the surrounding areas.
Collingdale Borough
Successful installation of 7,400 linear feet of water main (including 2,700 linear feet of C-900 PVC) required working around a 20″ gas transmission line while also minimizing disruption to surrounding business and pedestrian traffic. Our team’s ability to deliver turnkey service, coupled with strategic planning and creative thinking, led to successful delivery on time and on budget.
West Goshen Township
To meet the needs of this important infrastructure project, we deployed two pipe crews to install over 5,000 linear feet of 8-, 14-, and 16-inch pipe and connect 43 services across three streets. Limited water service records (resulting from a lack of information received when Aqua acquired the water system from another authority) coupled with 10- to 15-inch pavement thicknesses, uncovered during the pre-planning phase, presented opportunities for our team to apply Insight. On Site. to seamlessly steward the project from concept to completion.
Narberth Borough
The proximity of this site to the firehouse meant added project complexity to remain flexible and ensure emergency vehicles had access at all times. With creative and proactive planning and proper execution, our team achieved successful installation of 6,000 linear feet of 8-inch pipe and connected 217 services along two streets without any disruption to the firehouse traffic. By remaining adaptable in the unique location, we were able to deliver high-quality results safely and on time, as promised.
We are grateful for our partnership with Aqua Pennsylvania and honored they place their trust in our team to support these key infrastructure improvement projects in the communities they serve.
