Our heavy equipment team is responsible for operating a variety of excavating equipment, from backhoes and dozers to loaders and excavators. Tasks range from digging trenches and earthmoving to land clearing and loading materials. All equipment operators perform daily maintenance, including visual inspections of the machine, checking and filling fluids, and lubricating the machine.

Operates a rubber tire or track type loader.

Responsibilities:
Operates a tracked excavator. Primary functions are divided between two crews: earth moving or pipe. Both crews require grading slopes, digging trenches to preset grades that meet OSHA requirements for safe benching/shoring or trench shields.
Dirt Crew Responsibilities:
May also work with a variety of attachments (hydraulic breaker, hydraulic tamper, grapple, stump splitter, etc.)
Pipe Crew Responsibilities:
Operates a track-type tractor equipped with a blade to move earth and other material for constructing roads, ponds, building areas, etc. Many of our dozers are equipped with GPS. This helps the operator see where cuts and fills need to be, instead of using grade stakes.
