Like many employers, Brubacher provides employees with strong traditional benefits. At Brubacher, we also offer our employees some benefits that go above and beyond* what's expected in the construction industry.

Many construction companies expect workers who travel to distant job sites to do so at their own expense. Not Brubacher.

In an effort to provide our hourly field personnel with extra money to help defray the cost of their personal travel to jobsites, we provide Travel Differential Pay.

  • Using the shops (located in Bowmansville or Liberty) as the center of a circle, we have identified four different travel zones. Depending on which zone the jobsite falls into will determine the amount of Travel Differential Pay an hourly field employee will receive for their personal travel to a respective jobsite.

In addition, for trips requiring overnight travel, employees receive a per diem to assist with fuel, meal, and hotel costs.

  • Guaranteed Overtime on Weekends: All regular full-time hourly field employees (including technicians and truck drivers) who work on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will receive time and a half their hourly rate, regardless if they worked a full 40 hours during the work week (Monday through Friday). 

  • Weekend Work Vacation Credit Program: Eligible hourly field employees (including technicians and truck drivers) will receive a two hour vacation credit for any weekend work exceeding 4 hours on either Saturday or Sunday.

At Brubacher, we want our employees to have the opportunity to attend a college class, attain a college degree or complete a certificate program. That’s why:

  • Our Tuition Reimbursement plan covers 75% of books, fees, etc. – up to $2,500 per year.

  • We offer recent college grads up to $7,500 in tuition reimbursement over a 3-year period.

  • Employees with a student loan debt receive a 75% match for student loan payments, up to $2,500 per year for up to 3 years ($7,500 maximum assistance).

We understand that life can sometimes bring unexpected financial burdens. That’s why:

  • Brubacher’s owners maintain a Benevolence Fund that provides a monetary gift to employees who are experiencing an unexpected financial hardship.

    • We also work with employees who are experiencing a temporary hardship, but want to repay the financial assistance.

We know that sometimes life is hard, and you just need someone to talk to. That’s why:

  • Brubacher offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all of our employees and their eligible family members that provides counseling services if you need them, and covers the cost of the first five sessions for each family member.
Marriage is a lifelong adventure of growing together through every age and stage of life. Brubacher pays for employees and their spouse to attend this weekend retreat/seminar, designed to help couples grow closer together.

Benefits that Care for the Whole Person – and the Whole Family

Like other good companies that care about their employees, Brubacher offers you the important benefits you’ve come to rely on.

Brubacher provides employees with seven paid holidays each year as well as paid vacation time. Vacation benefits are pro-rated in the first year and increase based on the employee’s length of time with Brubacher, up to 20 days per year.

Medical: Select from three Aetna options that’s best for you. One of the plans has no payroll deductions!  Two of our plan options include a health savings account that provides pre-tax dollars that can be used to help pay for deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance costs.

Dental & Vision: Through Guardian and National Vision Administrators, employees may purchase dental and vision coverage. These plans pay 100% of covered services performed by participating providers and reimburse 100% of the allowable amount for services performed by non-participating providers.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability: Brubacher provides our employees with short- and long-term disability coverage through Guardian Life Insurance Company. If you can’t work due to illness or non-work-related injury, the Short-Term plan pays a weekly benefit for up to 26 weeks. The Long-Term plan pays a weekly benefit for up to two years after Short Term Disability ends.

Life Insurance: We also provide employees with a $35,000 term life & accidental death and dismemberment policy. If you wish, you also may purchase additional policies through Guardian Life Insurance Company, such as supplemental term life, spouse term life, and dependent term life.

Brubacher has a company 401(k) Profit Sharing Retirement Plan for our employees. After you’ve been employed for three months, you can contribute up to 30% of your gross income each week. Brubacher will match 50% of your contributions, up to 4% of your gross annual income.
