Brubacher’s New Director of Finance

Kris Hay

Kris Hay spent 8 years as Director of Fleet where he actively planned the budgeting, financing, and purchasing processes for Brubacher's equipment fleet. When he was approached with an opportunity to become the new Director of Finance, it felt like a natural progression.

In his new role, Kris is working with the finance team by his side to focus on all things finance related. With his fleet department background and college degree in finance, Kris remains focused on updating his knowledge and skills to fulfill his duties.

Kris believes it’s the Brubacher team that’s helping him reach his promotional goals. From a leadership standpoint, he’s growing through mentorship, Construction Financial Management Association trainings, and other company trainings. But it’s the expert team around him that allows him to focus on the big picture and continue to grow in his own role.

In his spare time he enjoys attending his two children’s sporting events and restoring cars.

Welcome Andy Horning, Equipment Manager

Andy Horning

We’d like to give a warm Brubacher welcome to Andy Horning, our new Equipment Manager. Andy finished his onboarding and filled his new role just before the new year.

After 26 years with his former employer, the Brubacher team is excited to have Andy as an addition to our team. During interviews, we saw the unique general manager approach he’ll bring to the fleet team with the company’s and its employees’ best interest in mind.

He and his wife value relationships and are involved with marriage mentoring and pre-marriage counseling at their church. He enjoys staying active by competing in obstacle course racing and playing pickle ball. Nothing makes him happier than making people laugh and spending time with his adult children during family game night.

We’re confident as Andy gets accustomed to his new role, that he’ll provide the guidance and support to provide equipment that empowers our team to consistently exceed customer expectations.

The Brubacher Service Award

Lester Martin

We’re proud to present to Lester M. the Brubacher Service Award for his 40th anniversary with the company. For 35 years, Lester primarily hauled and delivered equipment to keep our job sites running smoothly and efficiently. Over the last five years, he has expanded into driving various trucks, including dump truck work.

You know Lester is ready to get the day started when you see him coming in with his lunch box and thermos. It’s from that moment he begins working and doesn’t stop until quitting time. This dedication hasn’t just impacted Lester’s career over the last 40 years. It also directly allowed for the successful, efficient completion of countless projects with minimal direction from dispatchers and supervisors.

No matter what piece of equipment he’s loading or what job he’s on, dispatchers and supervisors know they can trust Lester to take care of anything. Whether it’s pulling a lowboy, the chip trailer, driving the roll-back, operating the dump truck with a trailer, moving stone or dirt – Lester is there to accomplish the job.

It’s this type of initiative that other Brubacher employees witness each and every day. They see the trust his supervisors have in him to execute a job with little to no direction and his motivation to immediately move into the next task. That’s the quality of service that keeps our projects moving and helps our crews finish them successfully.

Lester’s work motto is simple, “Do your best and do your job.” They’re words we can all be challenged by as we watch Lester keep morale high through his can-do attitude.
