Brubacher ABC Merit Level Award for Heavy Construction-Site Work

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter presented 33 awards to outstanding commercial construction projects at its 24th Annual Merit Construction Awards of Excellence banquet Thursday, November 6, at Presidential Caterers in Norristown, PA.

The entries were evaluated by industry professionals representing a cross-section of architects, engineers, commercial real-estate owners, developers and industry leaders who visited each project and determined the award winners. ABC members entered 40 projects into 17 categories in the 2014 competition.

The ABC, Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter awarded Brubacher the Merit Level award for Heavy Construction-Site Work for our work on the Eagleview Crossings site in Upper Uwchlan and Uwchlan Townships in Chester County, PA. Brubacher’s scope for the work at Eagleview Crossing included utility installation and grading for a hotel pad and a restaurant pad. Brubacher provided earthwork, blasting, storm and sanitary sewer, domestic and fire suppression water service installation, a bio-retention area, two underground detention basins, a retaining wall and landscaping. Paving included pervious beds under parking areas, PennDOT road widening and reconstruction of Eagleview Blvd. Brubacher crews stayed flexible and cooperative as they coordinated with township authorities, PennDOT officials, the Turnpike Commission and other subcontractors on and off site so that the work was completed correctly, safely and on time.

Brubacher also received recognition as a subcontractor on the Excellence Level award winner in Heavy Construction-Site Work at the West Hills Business Park in Kutztown, PA.  Brubacher clearing and drilling/blasting teams participated in preparing this site.
