Office personnel positions include project managers and estimators. Estimators are responsible for generating accurate estimates, proposals and change orders. Project managers are responsible for administering all project activities, from planning to budget analysis and quality control.

Estimator
At Brubacher, an Estimator works closely with our Take-Off Technicians, Operations teams and clients. They develop project proposals using our wide range of expertise to help clients manage risk and reduce stress.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for generating high quality and accurate estimates, proposals and change orders in an effective and efficient manner
- Understands and interprets, with accuracy, project blueprints, drawings, maps, bidding specifications, scope descriptions, contracts and related documents
- Prepares estimates, proposals, accompanying cost information and schedules
- Operates a computerized bidding system with precision and speed
- Addresses bid requests, estimates and proposals in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
- Coordinates and oversees project turn-over meetings, providing project teams with all background information for a successful completion

Project Manager
The Project Manager is the primary Brubacher contact on assigned projects, responsible for administering all project activities, including safety planning, contract interpretation and compliance, logistical coordination (personnel, equipment, and material), budget analysis and cost control, customer and public relations, quality control, and job profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manages multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Develops
and maintains a logical, efficient and integrated system of schedules,
objectives and logistics to effectively bring assigned projects to
safe completion on time and on or under budget
- Reviews, in detail, contracts on all assigned projects
- Ensures contract requirements, specifications and plan details are met
- Guides the Field Superintendents accordingly and insures compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Recognizes conflicts and resolves them expediently
- Maintains detailed knowledge of all applicable budget variances and develops strategies to maintain profitability with Field Superintendents accordingly
- Complete and approve all project billings
- Facilitates, on a monthly basis, all project completion cost projections
- Initiate, approve and monitor all project change order activity
- Is constantly aware of budget deviations, documents them, and apprises management of their existence along with corrective action taken
- Addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly and in a professional and courteous manner
- Fosters and maintains positive relations with all municipal and regulatory agencies
- Provides management direction to Site Superintendents and Pipe Supervisors assigned to various projects under his/her control
